Place and Connectivity programme

Work continues to progress on the Place and Connectivity Programme that will deliver significant infrastructure improvements and link key destinations in Burgess Hill.

We're working together with West Sussex County Council and Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership to deliver a network of sustainable transport and public realm improvements.

Collectively, we have secured a £21.8 million funding package that consists of £10.9 million from the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and £10.9 million from developer contributions for the Place and Connectivity Programme.

Survey work took place at the end of 2019 to help us find ways to improve sustainable transport infrastructure, reduce congestion and increase connectivity across Burgess Hill.

Public engagement is scheduled for spring 2020 to give residents the opportunity to have their say on the proposals.
