Am I entitled to Universal Credit?

If you are on a low income or out of work, you could be entitled to Universal Credit - a monthly payment to help with your living costs.

Apply online at www.gov.uk/universal-credit and the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) will call you back if they need to check anything as part of your claim.

Here’s a short video which explains all the information you will need to provide to the DWP to make a claim.

West Sussex County Council (WSCC) reopened Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRS) across West Sussex on Monday 11th May.

Although the waste sites are open, WSCC is asking you to consider if your journey is absolutely essential before making the trip.

From Monday 1st June, the range of items will be extended to include garden waste, general household waste, wood, cardboard, electrical items, bulky items, and furniture. The HWRS are currently unable to accept soil / hardcore, plasterboard, asbestos, tyres or textiles for the time being. ID will be required from all vehicles attending site

Vans and pickups will be permitted on the sites, but will need to display their WSCC permit to access the site. Trailers will continue to be rejected for the time being due to the operational changes made to sites.

Normal summer opening hours will be in operation. Once at the sites there will be certain measures in place for the safety of visitors and staff.

Please visit www.westsussexrecycles.org for more information on your local site.
