Feeling a bit out of shape?

MENFinding time and space to think about health and wellbeing can be difficult. That is why our Wellbeing team is running a 10-week M-E-N (Mind, Excercise and Nutrition) plan to help support male residents in making adjustments that will help them to have healthier futures.

The meetups will take place at Haywards Heath Rugby Club. Each get-together will consist of 45 minutes on a nutrition and healthy lifestyle subject, followed by a 45 minute exercise session. The sessions kick-off on 13 October and will continue for 10 weeks, costing £20 in total.

Although most legal restrictions have been lifted and many people have been vaccinated, Coronavirus has not gone away and remains a serious health risk. It is still possible to catch and spread COVID-19, even if you are fully vaccinated, so it remains important we all take steps to protect each other. 

COVID-19 will be a feature of our lives for the foreseeable future, so we need to learn to live with it and manage the risk to ourselves and others. Everyone must continue to get a test if you develop COVID-19 symptoms, even if your symptoms are mild, and isolate if you test positive or are told to do so by NHS Test and Trace. You can help to protect yourself and others by limiting the number of people you socialise with, keeping your distance, meeting outside or letting fresh air in.

If you have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine, you should get vaccinated because it is a safe and effective way to obtain the best protection against COVID-19.
