A2300 opening

The newly widened A2300 in Burgess Hill officially opened last month, helping to improve connectivity and increase capacity between the A23/M23 and the town.

Burgess Hill is undergoing a period of significant growth and improving this key section of road infrastructure will ensure the Northern Arc development at the edge of the town will be well connected to the road network.  Sustainable transport options have also been improved with the addition of 2.5 metre wide shared use paths, which make travel much easier for people who choose to walk or cycle.

The widening of the A2300 has been completed before any new homes have been occupied on the Northern Arc development and is another great example of important infrastructure improvements being delivered at an early stage.
