Jubilee grants awarded to help communities celebrate historic event

Platinum Jubilee logoWe've awarded funding to 37 neighbourhood, charity and local organisations as part of our special Platinum Jubilee grants programme.

This year, will see a year-long Platinum Jubilee celebration of The Queen’s seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952. We created our grants programme to help Mid Sussex groups run community events that celebrate and mark the Platinum Jubilee. We've helped to fund a wide range of local events, from street parties to live music performances, that are easily accessible for the community and free to attend.

An extended bank holiday from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th of June will provide an opportunity for communities to come together to celebrate this historic milestone.
